It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Grenada Solid Waste Management Authority. As you navigate our website, I hope you learn more about our services and operations. We pride ourselves in the provision of exemplary waste management services and we are always endeavoring to improve our services and reach all the citizens in the state of Grenada as well as our visitors.

We have earned the trust and respect of nationals due to our hard-working staff and support of dedicated contractors who provide waste collection and street cleaning services and who have grown to become experts in their fields. We lean heavily on their experience, passion, expertise, and pride they take in delivery of service.

We are here to help make a positive difference in the lives of Grenadians.
Apart for the provision of garbage collection, street cleaning services and management of waste at our landfills, we seek to conform to best practices in service delivery including waste reduction initiatives, waste processing for recycling, support services for government institutions, monitoring and public education to work effectively with the public we serve and to encourage compliance.

It is our every intention to make good on our commitment to protect human health and the environment through effective and efficient waste management service delivery in an effort to support sustainable economic development. We recognize that the waste management sector is dynamic, and some changes can be fast in a world where development in technology happens every day. That being established, we are committed to addressing the challenges of the increased waste generation and changes in the character of waste needing to be disposed of. This calls for creativity, commitment to conform to approved standards for disposal and always being ahead of the game in understanding waste generation and disposal demands in order to keep up with the reputation for delivering a service that truly make a positive difference.

We have rebranded after 25 years of service in the state of Grenada.
Out new image speaks to Grenada’s response to the sustainable development goals relative to waste management  and this will be out outlook beyond the past quarter century of waste management services  while bearing in mind that one of our critical objectives is that of ensuring that our services are in conformity or in support of ensuring our clients mission objectives are achieved… after all our clients come to us with confidenceand the assurance that we have the expertise to take service delivery to the highest level of performance.

Safety, as we apply occupational health and safety standards at all levels of operations. Effective communication, as we carryout sustained public education initiatives geared at keeping our consumers abreast of our work and keep an open line to all to keep us informed of how we can be of service to them. We value every opportunity to interact with our clients, our colleagues, and our communities. We hold fast to the belief that as service provider and client we are both accountable to each other for creating the GSWMA that we can all be proud of.
